Located in northeast Tacoma, North Shore Golf Course has been operating as a public golf course since 1961. The renovation of their club house included significant upgrades to their existing parking lot and entrance. The client requested an alpine themed design for the associated landscape. A variety of plant species were chosen which mimic an alpine forest character. The landscape is laced with areas of rock cobble and boulder mimicking ‘scree’ landscape found in the high mountains. Currently the first phase of construction has been completed.
