As part of Alderwood Malls redevelopment as a lifestyle center, the northeast entrance and east parking long were reconfigured to accommodate residential development and two new anchor stores. Brenda assembled permit and construction documents for planting design of the new parking islands, entrance, bioswale and building perimeters. Robust drought-tolerant species with year-round interest were chosen, creating a lush garden-like feel with emphasis on habitat for pollinators.
